Julekort 2005: Vi har haft et rigtig godt år, Vi er alle ved godt helbred. Min bror er også rask. Skip (Loren) er blevet pensioneret fra jernbanen efter 35 år. Lisa vores datter arbejder på hendes "Master degre" alene med fuldtimes lærerjob. We er nu helt installeret i vores nye hjem. Vi har en dejlig gruppe af naboer. Alle i familien ser frem til 2006 og vi håber på at kunne rejse til danmark. Darlene, Owen, Wade og Lisa Jensen.

Another annum will soon be in the books, and 2011 has been good year in the Jensen household with much
to be thankful for. It is always wonderful to read all the updates from others at this time of year, and hopefully sharing some of our lives with you will bring the same joy.
The year started off on a rather Bomber note - as most of you are aware, Owen suffered a heart attack in March and spent a few days in the hospital at North Memorial. Fortunately it was a relatively minor episode (as far as heart attacks go), and he has since recovered nicely and is feeling well. It was a scary experience for the family at the time, though I think Owen handled it better than the rest of us with his good-natured sense of humor!
Probably the highlight of the year was my 60`h birthday in May. Owen, Wade, and Lisa threw a big surprise party and the best party for me at The Lookout Bar & Grill in Maple Grove. And boy, was I ever surprised! They did a great job of hiding the party from me right to the end, as I expected that we were going to The Lookout for a pre-dinner drink and walked into a banquet room filled with friends and family. It was a wonderful event with great food and drinks, and more importantly, I was able to celebrate a milestone birthday with many special people whom I don't see nearly often enough.
As you may have noticed from our holiday photo, we welcomed a furry new addition to the family. In August our daughter, Lisa, adopted a one-year-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier named Keegan. Although with Lisa's busy work schedule and our love of dogs, Owen and l frequently bring Keegan back to our house to play with our son Wade's dog, Keira, who is also a Wheaten Terrier. We have a big yard for them to run and have fun playing together, and the two dogs get along great. We like to think of them as our Grand puppies - aren't they adorable?!
Over the summer I left my position at North Memorial Ambulance Service and am now enjoying the retired life, at least for now. That said, l still feel just as busy as ever! Owen is doing some part-time accounting and tax consulting for a few companies, and enjoys being able to still stay active professionally (while maintaining a full fishing schedule over the summer, of course!). We would like to travel more in
the upcoming year - hopefully a winter vacation to a warm destination over the winter, along with a special
trip to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, which is coming up on April 15, 2012. My, how time flies!
